Our Community

Incorporated on July 21, 1937, Cockrell Hill is a small community completely surrounded by Southwest Dallas. Located approximately one mile south of Interstate 30, the Cockrell Hill Municipal complex includes the Police Department, Court, and Jail and is located at 4125 W Clarendon Drive, Cockrell Hill, Texas 75211.


Department Responsibilities

The Police Department is under the direction and supervision of the Chief of Police, Daryle Ryan, who is appointed by the City Council. The Cockrell Hill Police Department is responsible for the enforcement of traffic laws; accident investigations; community education; crime prevention programs; investigation of crimes against persons and property; narcotic investigations; maintenance of criminal records and files; prisoner processing and detention; radio communications and teletype services. The department also provides service to crime victims. The Cockrell Hill Police Department strives to provide the highest quality of services possible within the City's fiscal limitations.


Administration

The Chief of Police, Captain and Patrol Sergeant comprise the Administration of the Cockrell Hill Police Department. They are responsible for ensuring that the officers and staff of the department have the tools, training and motivation to meet the needs of the community that we serve.
